What is the Nervous System?
The nervous system consists of two parts, the (CNS) central nervous system containing the brain and spinal cord and (PNS) peripheral nervous system consisting of nerves. Together, the CNS and PNS control pain sensitization in the body. Any injury to the brain, spinal cord or nerves can cause severe pain.
How Can the Nervous System Cause Pain?
When the autonomic, motor or sensory nerves in your body are either out of balance or damaged, it can cause severe pain or medical conditions such as:
